Running a stable is a seven-day job that starts before sunrise, and the phone doesn't care. Most riding stables and equine centres still take every booking by phone, text, or email — in a direct scan of Quebec and Ontario operators, nine of eleven Quebec operators and more than half of the sampled Ontario ones had no real online booking at all. The families booking a trail ride or a lesson are browsing at nine o'clock at night, after the kids are in bed, and when nobody picks up, they book somewhere else.

The alternatives haven't been real ones. A custom agency build has always meant tens of thousands of dollars and months of work a family-run operation can't spare. Generic scheduling software doesn't understand horses, seasons, or a day camp. So owners lose bookings to voicemail, evenings to phone tag, and deposits they never had a clean way to collect — and they keep running the whole operation out of a paper binder because nothing built for a real ranch existed.

How we're doing it

We built one platform around how a stable actually runs, not a generic booking widget with a horse icon on it. Every ranch gets a professional website in French and English, a real-time booking engine that confirms instantly, and card deposits collected at the moment of booking — so fewer no-shows and no more chasing payments by phone. Riders browse a photo directory of the ranch's own horses; parents register kids for day camps online; every booking lands straight on the day-board the ranch's own staff use to run the day — assigning a guide, catching a double-booking before it happens, showing each guide their day on whatever device they're holding.

Getting started isn't a tutorial, it's white-glove setup: we configure the ranch's services, locations, and pricing, and bring over its existing rider data when there's a system to pull it from. The owner isn't learning new software on day one — they're getting a working platform, configured for how they actually run things, and they approve it before it goes live.

Where it stands today

Equinimi is live and running in production at a real Quebec equine operation — real bookings, real card deposits, the day-to-day calendar in daily use. It's available now to equine centres across Canada, in both official languages.
