A tradesperson's website today is either missing, years out of date, or a digital business card that does nothing. The people who need a plumber, an electrician or a roofer decide in the minute before they call: they search, they land on a site, and they either feel confident this is the right one or they keep scrolling. Most trades sites lose that minute. They give no clear signal of what the business does, where it works, or that it is still open for business; they are thin on the pages a search engine actually reads; and the owner cannot change a word without calling someone.
How we're doing it
We built a platform that is SEO first. Schema and content are part of the build, not an add-on: local business markup, guide content, and the pages a search engine reads, in the language the customer searches in, French and English from day one. The job the site has to do is simple to say and hard to get right: have a prospect feel confident they are making the right decision right before they pick up the phone. So the site is current and polished, the owner can edit their own content without waiting on a developer, and every page is built as a tool that drives calls, traffic and sales, not as a brochure. Alongside the sites, the Tradesmaster print shop puts yard signs, business cards, brochures, car magnets and apparel behind the same brand, so the truck, the sign and the site say the same thing.
Where it stands today
Tradesmaster is live at tradesmaster.ca, and print.tradesmaster.ca is taking quote requests for signs, cards, brochures, car magnets and apparel today, with more products being added. The guide-content collection that powers the SEO side is live in production. Client sites are shipping one at a time as each build lands.
